Although a scientist by day, I have over 25 years experience in visual arts. My early work is in oil, however, in 2006 I switched to watercolor. While some of my oil experience translates, watercolor has proven to be an exciting challenge. I am a member of Arlington Center of the Arts, Watertown Art Association and Cambridge Art Associati
Although a scientist by day, I have over 25 years experience in visual arts. My early work is in oil, however, in 2006 I switched to watercolor. While some of my oil experience translates, watercolor has proven to be an exciting challenge. I am a member of Arlington Center of the Arts, Watertown Art Association and Cambridge Art Association. I have shown my work in local juried and non-juried art shows and received eight awards. I live with my husband and two children in Arlington, Massachusetts. prints landscape
I delight in the challenge of watercolor; the chemistry of the pigments on paper; the effects that only come with water. I like going to uncomfortable places to push myself and grow my expertise. I am thrilled when I discover something new. The process is a back and forth conversation of painting and waiting.
